Understand RoxWhy subscriptions, Starter access, Scholar, Stripe checkout, cancellations, receipts, top-ups, and billing support.
Plans and Billing
RoxWhy plans control account access, included AI tokens, plan limits, and support wording. Paid subscriptions use Stripe checkout where paid plans are enabled.
Starter account
Starter is for trying RoxWhy with an included one-time AI-token grant. Starter is useful for:
- Testing the learning workspace.
- Trying Chat, knowledge bases, and RoxBots.
- Checking whether RoxWhy fits the student's study workflow.
- Understanding AI-token usage before moving to a paid plan.
When starter credits run low, you can top up or move to a paid plan if checkout is available.
Scholar plan
Scholar is the paid learning plan for students who need more regular capacity. It can include:
- A larger monthly AI-token allowance.
- Top-up discounts where configured.
- More knowledge bases or RoxBots, depending on current plan settings.
- Priority support wording where enabled.
Check Pricing and the in-app plan screen for the current plan details.
Checkout
Paid subscriptions use Stripe checkout. Before checkout:
- Confirm the correct account is signed in.
- Confirm the plan, billing interval, and price.
- Use the parent or account holder payment method where appropriate.
- Do not submit full card details through support messages.
If checkout is not available, contact support before attempting another payment.
AI-token top-ups
Top-ups are separate from subscriptions. They add extra AI tokens for heavier study periods, such as exams, assignments, or long research sessions.
Top-ups may be available from Pricing, the in-app credits screen, or the RoxWhy account menu depending on the current surface.

Cancellations
You can cancel before the next renewal. Access normally continues through the paid billing period. Cancelling does not automatically refund already used service time or AI-token usage.
Keep a note of:
- Account email.
- Plan name.
- Billing interval.
- Cancellation date.
- Any confirmation or receipt.
Receipts and failed payments
For receipt, invoice, failed payment, duplicate charge, cancellation, or refund questions, contact support@roxwhy.com.
Include:
- Account email.
- Parent or account holder name.
- Plan or top-up amount.
- Payment date.
- Payment provider.
- Last four digits of the payment method, if relevant.
Do not include full card numbers, passwords, or bank login details.
Refund handling
Read the Refund Policy before opening a refund request. AI-token top-ups are service credits and may be treated differently after tokens have been used.
