Co-Writer, Books, Courses, and Reading
Write with Co-Writer, build a Book or Course path, read PDFs in Immersive Reading, and keep the useful residue in Learning Space and Memory.
These Learn tools are for longer work than a single chat. Use Chat when you need an explanation. Use these when you need a draft, a chaptered path, or a reading session that stays beside the text.
Co-Writer
Open /app/learn/co-writer.
Use it to outline, draft, summarise, or turn notes into a study guide. Keep the student as the author. A good Co-Writer session criticises structure and evidence. A bad one produces a finished essay to submit.
Start from Essay due if writing is the job this week.
You can also save a useful chat explanation into a Co-Writer document and keep editing there.
Books
Open /app/learn/books.
A Book is a structured learning path: chapters, examples, quizzes, figures, and notes you can return to. Use Book Builder from Chat when you want RoxWhy to draft that path from a topic or knowledge base.
Good uses:
- a new topic that needs a sequence, not one explanation
- exam revision you will reopen for two weeks
- a reading list turned into chapters
Do not generate a huge Book the night before a test. Prefer Learning Pack for a map-plus-quiz in one pass.
Courses
Open /app/learn/courses.
Courses are longer sequenced study than a single Book. Use a Course when the student will live in the same unit for many sessions and wants lessons in order. For a continuing tutor relationship with diagnostics and Mastery evidence, use Roxy Tutor instead of trying to make a Course do that job.
Immersive Reading
Open /app/learn/reading.
Use Immersive Reading when the source is a PDF, article, or uploaded material you need to read with help beside the text: questions, notes, and follow-up without losing your place.
Typical session:
- Open the reading workspace and add the allowed file.
- Read a section.
- Ask for a check question on that section only.
- Save a short note in your own words.
If you only need retrieval later, a knowledge base may be enough. Use Immersive Reading when the student must actually read the document.
Learning Space and Memory
Learning Space (/app/learn/space) holds the residue of study: chat history, notebooks, and the question bank. Save explanations that finally made sense, and quiz items you missed.
Memory (/app/learn/memory) helps RoxWhy keep level, preferences, and recent topics across sessions. It is continuity, not a transcript of everything you have ever said. Students should still check facts and assignment rules.
RoxBots and Roxy Tutor can use memory so you are not starting from zero each time.
