School assessment and exam marks contribute to HSC results under NSW processes. UAC then uses eligible course information and current cohort data for tertiary ranking. Adding percentages or applying a remembered scaling table cannot reproduce that process.
- Keep internal school estimates clearly labelled as provisional evidence.
- Confirm current eligibility and course treatment with your school and UAC.
- Do not compare marks from different courses as if their context were identical.
A working range becomes more useful as assessment coverage grows. Record whether an input comes from current coursework, a trial, an expected final mark or an official result, then widen uncertainty when the source is weaker.
- Separate a result already earned from a result you hope to earn.
- Let new marked work update the range instead of chasing daily fluctuations.
- Test one improvement assumption so the next action remains clear.
