Learn how to manage your student account, update profile details, and handle account security

Account & Profile Management

As a student user of RoxWhy, you have control over your account settings and profile information. This guide will walk you through the various account management features available in the Student Portal.

Completing Registration

Before you can access RoxWhy, you need to complete the registration process:

1. Check your email for an invitation from RoxWhy (sent to the email address your parent provided) 2. Click the registration link in the email 3. Create a password for your account 4. Click "Complete Registration"

Once registered, you can log in directly to the RoxWhy platform using your email and the password you created.

Logging In

To access your Student Portal:

1. Navigate to the RoxWhy login page 2. Enter your email address and password 3. Click the Log In button If you forget your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. RoxWhy will email you a reset link so you can choose a new password securely.

Updating Profile Details

In the Student Portal Settings, you can update some of your personal information: 1. Navigate to Account Settings in the sidebar menu 2. Locate the profile information section 3. Edit your name fields as needed 4. Click Save Changes

A success message will confirm that your profile has been updated.

Note: Your email address is set by your parent during the invitation process and cannot be changed by you directly. If you need to change your email, please ask your parent to update it from their Parent Portal.

Resetting Your Password

If at any point you want to change your password, you can do so from the Account Settings page: 1. Navigate to Account Settings in the sidebar menu 2. Locate the password section 3. Enter your current password 4. Enter and confirm your new password 5. Click Update Password

Alternatively, if you've forgotten your password and can't log in:

1. Click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page 2. Enter your email address 3. Check your inbox for a reset link 4. Follow the instructions to set a new password

Security Best Practices

To keep your RoxWhy account secure, we recommend the following best practices:

  • Use a strong, unique password for your RoxWhy account
  • Don't share your login credentials with others (not even friends)
  • Log out when using RoxWhy on shared or public devices (like school computers)
  • Regularly check your account for any unauthorised activity
  • Update your password periodically for enhanced security

Account Status and License Type

Your account status and license type are determined by your parent's subscription:

1. Navigate to Account Settings in the sidebar menu 2. You can view your current license type (Standard or Plus) 3. This determines which features you have access to: - Standard: Access to AI Chat only - Plus: Access to AI Chat, AI Notebook, and Academic Tracker

If you need access to additional features, ask your parent to upgrade your license from their Parent Portal.
